Benjamin Mwendia Waithaka is a 3D Generalist and one of the best Mentors of upcoming animators in the Kenyan industry and the region. Having been in the animation industry for over 18 years, Benjamin is an Autodesk Certified Professional and he is the co-founder of the Award-winning Bluesplynes Studio Kenya. Some of their clients include The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA), Vision 2030, Africa cup of Nations (AFCON), Uber, Kenya Wildlife Services, Life Skills Kenya, Theovision International, Nellions, Crown Paints, Independent Medical legal Unit (IMLU), Kenya ports Authority (KPA) NTV Kenya and many more. Benja as many call him has in the past lectured at Shang Tao Media Arts College and is currently the Head of Department Animation and Motion Graphics at the Africa Digital Media Institute (ADMI). Benjamin has won different accolades under his Studio label Bluesplyne Studios which including Entrepreneur of the year 2014, Citi micro-entrepreneurship award and Recognized as a finalist of the Kenya ICT Rising Star Award.
